The main goal of our research is understanding how signals from the tissue microenvironment regulate gland morphogenesis and cancer. Dr. Mina Bissell (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory-USA) visited Brazil last September and gave a talk at the University of São Paulo. Dr. Bissell talked about her career´s work on how the tissue environment regulates development and cancer. Have a look at the article by Agência FAPESP on Dr. Bissell´s research.
